What We Do
1
Annual Family Conference

Each year the FAM team hosts a couples retreat for up to 100 families from different churches in Haiti. The 7 day conference in the evenings includes teaching and discussion sessions which aim to educate and inspire couples to place God at the forefront and center of their marriages and to lead their families well in pursuing God's will for their lives. The time also covers practical skills such as home management and budgeting. The couples receive a hot meal each evening and have a beach day together at the end of the week to celebrate their marriages.

Soccer is a big deal in Haiti. What better way to reach children with the love of Christ than by hosting sports camps! At each weekly practice, the teams of children are provided a nutritious meal, fundamentals and training to improve their soccer skills, and exposure to the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Feeding Programs
Hunger is a reality for many in Haiti. All of FAM's ministry opportunities include providing a nutritious meal for those attending so their basic needs are met. Haitian rice and beans is a popular inexpensive and nutritious meal. This is a tangible way to show the love of Jesus.

4
Premarital Counseling
FAM understands the significance of the foundation of marriage, created by God to be the building block of the family, the church and the community. They want marriage to be the standard for Haitian families, many of whom already have children together. Their premarital counseling includes fundamental and practical marriage strategies that many have never considered. FAM then performs group wedding ceremonies, providing the attire, rings and meal to help couples have a memorable ceremony and celebration. These are a great witness to the community, as more couples see the blessing of the marriage commitment.

5
School Sponsorship
Education in Haiti is not free. FAM recognizes the impact of providing a Christ-centered education for the youth of the community, many of whom will become the future leaders of their community. They currently have 125 children from 1st to 5th grade, utilizing the multi-purpose FAM building as a school during the week.
They also provide uniforms, a hot meal for students and salariesfor five teachers.

6
Womens's Programs
FAM believes that by equipping women in the village, they will in not only grow themselves but they will in turn share what they have learned with others in the village. They invite visiting members of their church partners to teach, as well as members in their own church body who have been discipled and trained.

7
Elderly Ministry
The elderly are often neglected by their families in Haiti because of poor economic conditions. FAM members regularly check on the elderly in their community, who often suffer from blindness as a result of cataracts and other maladies that could have been prevented with proper health care. On their visits, FAM provides kits of essentials, including dry rice and beans, maize, oil, and soaps. They also pray for them and follow up with specific needs.
